I thought I’d put together some very basic Dos and Don’ts for people who are considering running or for beginners just starting out on their running journey.

It was actually a blog that Leigh wrote that gave me the idea to start this interview series. She’d posted a photo of her pink boxing gloves and explained how becoming active and punching stuff was helping her to improve her wellbeing and cope with all that life had thrown at her (and that’s more than most of us have had to deal with). To me she was a shining example of how finding the activity that suits you is crucial and how the benefits are huge. If you’ve never run a marathon before but thought that one day you might like to, now’s the time of year that’ll awaken those desires. With Manchester, Brighton, Boston and London in quick succession (and others too!) marathon fever is at its peak. It’s hard not to get caught up in it and before you know it you’ll have your name down for next year!
